A CNC router with a rotary attachment, also known as a CNC rotary axis or 4th axis attachment, is a specialized configuration of a CNC router that allows the machine to perform rotary or cylindrical engraving and cutting operations. The rotary attachment adds an additional axis of rotation (often referred to as the A-axis) to the CNC router’s traditional X, Y, and Z axes.
